This drama is based on Ju Jianfu's "Another Eye on Entertainment".The Entertainment Plaza has two media companies: the rich and ostentatious Yulebang,also know as the "dream of entertainment news",located on the 17th floor; and financially strapped Xiaowanbao located at the basement.Lin Manyi,a graduate,works in succession at both companies.She falls secretly in love with Xiao Lei,the editor of Yulebang but is dismissed by him and forced to join Xiaowanbao. The editor of Xiaowanbao,Bai Shui has been in rivalry with Xiao Lei.Both men used to court a well-know actress Fang Xun who returns at this point after a stint in Hollywood.Her return affects the struggle between the two companies.Lin Manyi's enthusiasm and persistence gradually changed Xiao Lei's outlook on life.After tendering his resignation, he joins Xiaowanbao to spread the value of truth, kindness and beauty with Lin Manyi.Both create harmony in the entertainment circle by motivating readers with positive news and eliminating falsehood and hype.Xiaowanbao eventually beats Yulebang and wins the Annual Best Media Award.The romantic affair of the two couple--between Lin Manyi and Xiao Lei,and between Bai Shui and Fang Xun--also become a legend of the entertainment circle.
